Martin is the Chief Investment Officer of National Bank Investments responsible for the development investment soclutions and the management of tactical asset allocation mandates. With over 20 years of experience in financial markets, Martin also managed the portfolio management team at Private Banking 1859.
Prior to joining National Bank, Martin was a Vice-President, Asset Allocation, at Natcan Investment Management. He also served as Senior Economist and Strategist for Desjardins Group, and as a U.S. Economist with the Department of Finance Canada.
Louis Lajoie is an Investment Strategist in the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Office at National Bank Investments. In this role, he is actively involved in tactical and strategic asset allocation analysis and decision-making, as well as in the development of quantitative tools applied to portfolio management. He acts as the managing editor of the group’s monthly asset allocation strategy report.
Mr. Lajoie began his career in 2016 as an analyst with National Bank's Financial Markets rotation program. This position led him to work in Corporate Banking and Sales & Trading in Montréal, Toronto and Calgary for a year, after which he fully integrated the team of the Office of the Chief Investment Officer.
