  • Vanessa Stockbrugger

    Senior Private Wealth Advisor,
    National Bank Private Banking 1859
  • Vanessa is a connector who is passionate about helping women and couples build their confidence in making financial decisions that give them choices. For more than 20 years—whether at National Bank or as founder of Womencents Inc.—she has been a trusted financial educator and advisor.

Today, she serves her clients as a Senior Private Wealth Advisor for National Bank Private Banking 1859. In this role she connects clients to services and products that help them grow their wealth in alignment with their values and expand their knowledge, so they can meet their financial goals. Interestingly, she spent the first half of her career at National Bank Financial in Investment Banking, becoming a Vice-President at just 27 and subsequently, a Director. She advised on mergers, acquisitions, initial public offerings and equity and debt financings.

When Vanessa had the first of her two daughters, she left the Bank and realized she missed having conversations about wealth and finances. This led to the birth of Womencents Inc. and an 8-year journey committed to strengthening the financial knowledge, confidence and wealth of Canadians, particularly women.

Now that she has rejoined National Bank, Vanessa has a broader platform to share her financial intelligence. She is an in-demand speaker, a volunteer committed to supporting women’s initiatives and a proud mom. Vanessa was raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, and has lived on an acreage outside of Calgary with her family for 20 years.
