LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. 1- To discuss the pathogenesis and prevalence of gout, in the presence of chronic kidney disease.
  2. 2- To describe the impact of gout and its deleterious consequences for the CKD clientele.
  3. 3- To select an appropriate therapeutic strategy for the treatment for acute manifestations of gout.
  4. 4- To integrate a useful preventive plan for the care of CKD patients suffering from gout.
  5. 5- To explore controversial aspects of the management of gout in this context.
